Dear beloved in Christ and friends,
How are you and your family today? I just returned this afternoon to reunite with my family from Batibo where the CIBS is situated . I left them since on Monday to be in the school with the students and to see how things are going, praise God all is moving smoothly.
The only problem I am facing in the school is how to settle the school bills ,especially when it comes to month ending . Each student is given some allowances monthly since we started , brother Gene Adams of the Southside Church of Christ, 1501Florida Avenue, Richmond California and Roger Kondrup the minister of the Salisbury Church of Christ, 3322 old occean city road, Salisbury, MD. congregational assistance is helping us immensely. At the moment, what we spend monthly for the staff , students and other minor bills rises to the sum total of $800.00 equivalent and so far, we have been robing Peter to pay Paul. My family have decided to sacrifice half of our month end support from the Southside congregation for the CIBS.
I am working on getting a big plot of 2-4 hacters of land for the school farm. From next semester students will be working their family size garden to support himself while in school and the issue of giving allowances to them will surely stop. I am equally hoping to introduce poultry farming first on campus as soon as I get some funds, and these if properly manage which I trust to do. We can be selling these birds every six to eight weeks and the profit will in turn be helping us in taking care of the school bills and the idea of depending on foreign support to run the school could gradually be wipe out completely tomorrow. The problem is how to raise enough funds for the starting.
Yes,some have done well in this poultry farm business, but others have had problems.I pray that all will work out well for CIBS. Any successful business takes proper planning,it is a Biblical idea to count the cost before hand.So many people do not plan to fail, but they fail to plan and it is true that to be successful one must be prepared to do the things that many people are not prepared to do. Our CIBS business is gradually growing from strength to strength. It was like a joke when we kick off this program , to run a tuition free bible school , the fear of many was where will the funds come from and some are still seeking answer to same question today. My simple answer to all is that God promised to provide all our needs, but as human, we need to work hard towards it. Pray for family and the CIBS. Share our information and reports with others who may have interest to partner with us in this God's business.
By His Grace,
